Watson Realty has made a change at the top with founder Bill Watson moving to the company’s chairman position and Ed Forman being named the new president.
Watson founded the company in 1965 and has been its only president.
Forman has managed Watson’s Central Florida and North Central Regions, and has served in his most recent position as General Sales Manager and Director of Operations for all residential and commercial operations.
Forman was a staff member for Sen. Herman Talmadge of Georgia and began his real estate career in 1972 in the Washington, D.C. area. He relocated to Florida 11 years ago.
“Ed Forman has a proven track record in the real estate industry,” said Watson. “We are indeed fortunate to have him leading our day-to-day operations, and I am totally confident that with his vision for continued growth and expansion Watson Realty will remain a front-runner in our ever-changing industry.
The company now has 41 residential offices, 20 property management offices, a Commercial Division, New Homes Division, and Relocation Services serving Northeast and Central Florida as well as St. Marys, Ga.
There are 1,650 agents and 400 fulltime employees.
