The Jacksonville Jaguars players packed up Monday and left Alltel Stadium after ending the season with a 13-6 win in Oakland that fell one game short of making the National Football league playoffs. A dozen or so fans were outside for autographs - defensive end Jason Gildon (left) was among those signing - and to greet the team with messages for next year, like on the sign held by Shari Walls.

Coach Jack del Rio called it a successful season, pointed out that the team won four games more this year than last year, and said the team should “absolutely” expect to be a playoff team in 2005.

The players may be off but the coaches and the staff are now working on ‘05 plans including the signing of current players, looking at potential free agents and the upcoming draft of college players.
