The Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee will hear an update on military affairs Tuesday morning from Dan McCarthy, the City’s director of military affairs.
McCarthy is expected to discuss the possibility of losing the aircraft carrier John F. Kennedy as well as review the status of the federal base closing commission.
It’s the opening meeting of the year for the committee. The meeting will be at 8 a.m. in the Hadlow Board Room on the third floor of the Chamber building on Independent Drive.
Jim McCollum of BellSouth will chair the committee this year.
