• The New York Times has a big story in today’s editions about the controversy over beach access.

• If you’re coming downtown over the

weekend, be aware that they’ll be resurfacing Bay Street.

• How tight is security around the stadium? Even the Jaguar enployees get screened daily.

• Construction efforts at the new Main Library will halt the Friday before the Super Bowl. However, visitors in town for the game should have no problem noticing that the massive building is not quite finished. The City confirmed this week that most of the scaffolding along the Library’s exterior walls will remain up through that weekend.

• The Landing has its Super Bowl activities which include broadcasts of “The Best Damn Sports Show Period” and rock band Molly Hatchet.
