The Jacksonville Maritime Museum plans on being open during Super Bowl week pending an employee parking agreement with the city.

Currently, the museum is open Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m to 3 p.m. and Sat. and Sun. from 1 to 5 p.m. The museum will tentatively be open every day from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. for about a week and a half before, during, and after the Super Bowl.

“We’re going to play it by ear and see how the crowds are,” said Mario Gottuso, vice chairman of the museum. The museum is looking for volunteers to help work during the week and a pizza vendor is scheduled to be on the outside deck.

The museum has received visitors from all around the world, like Russia, Ukraine, Kuwait, and China, so they expect to see many tourists here for the Super Bowl.

The Jacksonville Maritime Museum is located at 1015 Museum Circle near the Friendship Fountain. They can be reached

at 398-9011.
