Want to sing the national anthem at a Jacksonville Jaguars game this season? The Jaguars and Cox radio will conduct an open national anthem audition (it’s a cappella, by the way) at noon Saturday at the St. Johns Town Center. The chosen singer will perform the national anthem at the Oct. 2 Jaguars game against the Denver Broncos game at Alltel Stadium.

One hundred-seventy five contestants will compete, and the top 10 finalists will return on Sunday at 3 p.m. to compete for the final spot. Judges will come from local Cox radio stations and the Jaguars. All contestants must preregister at www.jaguars.com, www.wokv.com, www.wape95.1.com, www.969theeagle.com, www.1029i.com, or www.rock105i.com.

The contest will be judged by personalities from several Cox Radio stations and the Jaguars. Contestants will be judged on accuracy, style, quality of voice and stage presence.
