Aaron Duez: he tops the mortgages

Aaron Duez is an accomplished mortgage lender with over 7 years of experience in the mortgage lending field. In 2004 Aaron was the top unit producer of home loans for Wells Fargo in Northeast Florida. He closed over 200 new construction home loans working as a Home Mortgage Consultant in the Wells Fargo Ponte Vedra Beach office.

Those “in the know” are well aware of the challenges for top producers to consistently produce big numbers month after month. It requires good systems and a strong commitment to teamwork to accomplish the goal.

For Aaron this came naturally. With a military background in the Marines, he was ideally suited to add a level of regimentation to the process that builders appreciate.

But, Aaron is not just about closing loans. In 2004 he actively participated in numerous trade associations in an effort to both learn and to give back to the industry.

These organizations included but were not limited to NEFBA, NEFAR, Chamber of Commerce and, of course, the Sales and Marketing Council.

His favorite activity was when he brought his co-workers from the Ponte Vedra branch of Wells Fargo to several Builders Care workdays to help as he put it “our neighbors in Jacksonville”. He is already planning for the 2005 workday with Builders Care.

According to Aaron, it is about looking out for others, especially those who are less fortunate.

“We in the home building and lending industry know we are blessed to be where we are. We must not forget to give back,” he said. Besides, “it really makes you feel good” when you see the smile of a homeowner with a new roof or fresh paint.

Because of this experience, Aaron is planning to sponsor the construction of a home this year for a deserving family through Beaches Habitat. Through his connection with the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation, he has applied for and is in hopes of receiving a $25,000 grant to use along with Wells Fargo volunteers to complete this project. Having done this several years ago in partnership with Prudential Network Realty, NEFBA and Habijax he feels we have the experience, the capability and the corporate responsibility to put our resources to work.

While Aaron obviously works hard, his success is not based just on a strong work ethic. He has an engaging personality and is considered the top cheerleader at Wells Fargo. (Be careful calling an ex-Marine a “cheerleader.”)

But the truth is no individual has done more to spread the Wells Fargo story. Again, it is all about team to Aaron.

For this reason and because of competencies, accomplishments and commitment Aaron was rewarded in December with a promotion to Branch Manager of the Ponte Vedra branch of Wells Fargo. This is a $140 million annual production office with 7 loan officers reporting to Aaron.
