The Rotary Club of Jacksonville held its presidents’ party Tuesday night at the River Club to celebrate its new president, Robert Colyer, M.D. Nearly 130 guests attended the ceremony which also honored retired Adm. Johnathan Howe, the outgoing president. In his comments, Howe said Colyer was a key reason behind the club’s ability to raise $300,000 for polio eradication thanks to Colyer’s chairmanship of the Polio Plus committee.
