The Fourth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee’s annual pro bono competition finds Smith & Green leading with Foley & Lardner next.
The contest runs from May to April each year and the winning firm is recognized at the Jacksonville Bar Association’s Law Day luncheon.
The trophy goes to the law firm team that provides, on average, the most pro bono hours during the year. Each team gets a score every month by dividing the total number of hours by the number of team members. Thus, every firm has an equal chance to win, regardless of the size of the firm.
Holland & Knight is third followed by Harris Guidi and Liles Gavin.
Judge Jean Johnson is chair of the Fourth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee.
More information on the pro bono competition is available from David Barksdale at the Bedell Firm, 353-021, or Paula Brice at Harris Guidi, 398-9002
