Local attorney Christine Rieger Milton was recently elected to the board of directors of Baptist Medical Center Downtown. Milton is a partner in the Jacksonville office of McGuire, Woods, Battle and Booth, LLP.
Young Lawyers sponsor run
The Young Lawyers Division of the Jacksonville Bar Association is organizing a 5K charity run for the Florida Skin Cancer Foundation. The May 7 run starts at the Duval County Courthouse and will cross both the Main Street and the Acosta bridges. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the race starts at 8:30 a.m. Costs are $20 until May 6 and $25 on the day of the race. For more information call 1st Place Sports at 731-1900.
Local student wins $50,000
For Florida Coastal School of Law student Geoffrey Brodersen, doing your homework paid off big time. He won $50,000 in tuition reimbursement from online legal research provider LexisNexis. Brodersen was randomly chosen for the sweepstakes because he was a regular registered user of the service.
