JBA voting starts
Voting for the 1005-06 Jacksonville Bar Association officers and board has begun and will continue through the annual meeting on May 19.
JBA members can cast ballots in the JBA offices in the Riverplace Tower or in Room 220 of the courthouse. Voting at those sites will continue through May 18 and the final chance will be at the annual meeting at Deerwood.
Film Festival has seminar
A seminar on entertainment law will be part of the Jacksonville Film Festival.
The seminar will be at the La Cena restaurant on Laura St. from 1-5 p.m. on Friday, May 20. There will be four sessions with speakers from the entertainment field.
Admission is $85 for CLE credit and includes a reception following the seminar. The JBA is handling ticket sales for attorneys wishing CLE credits. The general public will be admitted for $15 and must get tickets through 355-2787.

Robert E. Warren and Harry M. Wilson IV have joined the Volpe Bajalia firm ... Eleven were approved as new members of the JBA during last week’s Law Day luncheon at the Hyatt. The new members are Timothy Beard Bentz, David Black, Collette Cunningham, Cleveland Ferguson III, Frank Grossholz, Chris Hodge, Susan Koonin, Neil Weinreb, Robert Wilcox, Phyllis Moore Wiley and D. Edward Williams Jr.
Stetson sponsors elder seminars
Four Elder Consumer Protection seminars will be held in the area this month as part of the Stetson University College of Law’s outreach program.
The first is 11 a.m. today at the Green Cove Springs Senior Center. There will be two on Wednesday, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Costal Community Center in St. Augustine, and the final seminar will be May 17 at the Orange Park Senior Center.
