It was all blue jeans, beer and barbecue at the recent Pro Bono Competition Barbecue held by the Jacksonville Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section.

Though the rainy weather kept some people away, YLS members sold more than 230 tickets to the all-you-can-eat event to help raise money for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid and to honor the YLS member that gave the most pro bono hours. This year’s recipient was Carrington Mead.

The event was held at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 17 in Marsh Landing Park.
