DVI, others collecting goods

Downtown Vision, Inc., PRI Productions and the American Red Cross urge the citizens of Jacksonville to open their hearts and wallets to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The Red Cross will be accepting financial contributions today from 5-8 p.m. at the First Wednesday Art Walk headquarters, located at 100 North Laura Street in Downtown Jacksonville. You can make supplies donations to PRI at the corner of Adams and Main streets

PRI Productions will be collecting donations in a tractor-trailer parked in Eddie Farah’s office parking lot, located at the corner of Adams Street and Main Street, next to the Burrito Gallery.

Supplies needed include: bleach, bottled water, sodas, juices, canned food, non-perishable food, foods for infants and elderly, dry snack food, manual can openers, paper goods, plastic utensils, blankets, pillows, first-aid kits, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, diapers, bug spray, trash bags, camping equipment, flash lights, batteries, over-the-counter medication, tools, gloves, tarps, plastic sheeting, construction materials, generators, chain saws, hand tools, picnic supplies, small charcoal grills, charcoal and clothing.
