Applications are being sought to fill a judicial vacancy in the Circuit Court of the Fourth Judicial Circuit as a result of recent Legislative approval of a new Circuit Judgeship.
An applicant must be a registered Florida voter and have been a member in good standing of the Florida Bar for the preceding five years.
In addition, any applicant chosen by the Governor must reside in the Fourth Judicial Circuit upon assuming office. An original and nine copies of the completed application must be received by Love no later than noon on Monday, Sept. 26, 2005, at 815 South Main St., Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32207.
Interviews will take place on Oct. 19, 2005, in the Duval County Courthouse, Room 220, the chambers of Chief Judge Donald Moran.
Applications will be screened by the Fourth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, which must send at least three names to the Governor.
