Local Judge on Tampa panel

U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Jerry Funk will be sitting on the panel for an upcoming continuing legal education course. The course, “Bankruptcy Law & Practice: View from the Bench,” is being held Oct. 20 at Stetson University’s School of Law in Tampa. For more information on the course, call (813) 228-6625.

2 from Akerman at the top

Akerman Senterfitt attorneys John B. MacDonald, a bankruptcy and creditor-debtor right lawyer, and Terry A. Moore, a real estate specialist, recently found their names in the latest release of Woodward/White’s “The Best Attorney’s in America.” Both MacDonald and Moore are attorneys in Akerman Senterfitt’s Jacksonville office. Of the firm’s 400 attorneys, MacDonald and Moore are among the 49 Akerman Senterfitt attorneys that made the cut.

Corrigan seeking clerk

U.S. District Court Judge Timothy Corrigan is looking for a new judicial law clerk to start in November. The applicant will serve as a legal advisor to Corrigan and should be a law school graduate and have at least one year of post-graduate legal experience.
