The Sembler Company and Granite Properties, Inc. have broken ground on OakLeaf Town Center in Jacksonville. The 858,642-square-foot shopping center will be at the intersection of Argyle Forest Blvd. and Old Middleburg Rd. near Brannan Chaffee Road.
OakLeaf Town Center will be anchored by a Super Target and other national retailers. The open air center will also include a lifestyle section with upscale shops and restaurants along its main street entrance. Nine outparcels will have various users including gas stations, sit down and fast food restaurants, banks and drug stores.
Jacksonville’s population increased by more than 20 percent between 1990 and 2000, and city leaders say there is room to grow on Florida’s First Coast.
The target market area for Oakleaf Town Center currently includes about 120,000 people and is expected to be approximately 170,000 people in five years.
The site contractor is J.B. Coxwell Construction. OakLeaf Town Center is expected to open in March 2007.
