Katrina Fisher, administrative assistant to City Council Director Cheryl Brown, is surrounded by toys for kids. City Council, members of the Council Auditor’s office and a few from the Office of General Counsel ‘adopted’ 26 kids from The Salvation Army this year. Among the many toys are six bicycles and a bright red tricycle. “I try to make it bigger every year,” said Fisher, adding last year 23 kids got presents from City staffers. “We had so many presents this year, we needed more angels.” Firefighters from the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department will collect the toys and deliver them to The Salvation Army.
