A boatload of Jacksonville VIPs, including City Council members, JAA and Jacksonville International Airport employees were spotted Friday at the Jacksonville Aviation Authority’s annual Fish Fry.

JAA’s Police Department also used the event to host the organization’s annual Christmas Toy Drive. Attendees brought in gifts and made donations that will go to migrant worker families in Georgia, as well as needy families throughout Jacksonville.

JAA Director of External Affairs Michael Stewart said he was pleased with the event’s success in the midst of busy holiday schedules.

“It’s always a challenge this time of year because there are so many functions to compete,” he said,”but the participation was great this year and we had an excellent turnout.”
