Jacksonville now has its own chapter of the Urban Land Institute and more than 100 attended a breakfast meeting last week on the 12th floor of the Aetna Building.
“Creating a separate ULI Jacksonville District Council is a testament to the growth happening throughout Jacksonville and the Northeast Florida region,” said Chairman Mike Shalley.
The ULI Jacksonville District Council recently branched off from the Orlando District Council and has appointed its executive committee. ULI is a networking and education organization that meets to discuss issues relating to development in urban areas.
At the meeting, the group heard from Robert Dunphy, a senior resident fellow in transportation and infrastructure at the national ULI office.
The breakfast was sponsored by The South Shore Group, real estate developer and owner of the Aetna Building.
Information on membership is at www.uli.org. For details on sponsorship opportunities and ULI Jacksonville District Council activities, contact Amy Ogden at 280-5137.
