Morrison beats projections

The Northeast Florida division of Atlanta-based Morrison Homes surpassed its 2005 goals as the company reported 401 closings in Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties, a 31 percent increase from the previous year.

Sales figures and revenues were also strong throughout the division, with revenues totaling over $130 million in 2005.

Morrison Homes is currently building Briar Oaks Townhomes in OakLeaf Plantation, and single-family homes in Amelia National, Bartram Springs, Fall Creek at OakLeaf Plantation, North Hampton, St. Johns Golf & Country Club and St. Johns Forest. In the coming months, Morrison Homes will build Chestnut Ridge Townhomes in OakLeaf Plantation and Townhomes at the World Commerce Center, and single-family designs at Nichols Creek and River Glen.

The company operates in 12 geographic regions across the nation including Atlanta, Georgia; Denver, Colorado; Austin, Dallas and Houston, Texas; Phoenix, Arizona; Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa and Sarasota, Florida; and Sacramento and Central Valley, California.
