• Getting another NCAA first-round basketball match — it’s in 2010 — will give Jacksonville University’s basketball program more than another shot of prestige. The Dolphins can tie the NCAA tickets to their season tickets so if you buy JU ducats, you’ll be guaranteed NCAA seats.

• The ticket prices have been set for the Sept. 29, 2007 football game here between Florida State and Alabama. The top price is for the club seats at $125. It’s $60 for the South end zone, known as the Champions Club, and the lower bowl. The lowest prices are $45 for the North end zone and the upper decks.

• The Southside Business Men’s Club gets ready to move back to the San Jose Country Club by meeting there next week. They’ll make the switch from the University Club in September.

• If you want to see the Jaguars play Pittsburgh on Sept. 18, you better know someone or else buy a season ticket. Even group sales are on a waiting list.

• The summer dates won’t the the only new thing at The Players Championship. Commissioner Tim Finchem will unveil a new logo on Monday.

• Neptune Beach residents opposed to the proposed Wal-Mart may have cause to be worried. The strip mall where the store is planned is now completely vacant. The cleaner and credit union have both relocated.

• Roy Schleicher of the Port Authority has been named the “Maritime Person the Year” by the local Propeller Club. Schleicher is the director of marketing and trade development and was a key player in the Port’s 30-year lease with Japanese shipping line Mitsui OSK.

• Today is moving day for Cantrell Real Estate, Inc. and Cantrell & Morgan, Inc. They’ll be on the fourth floor of the BB&T building at 200 W. Forsyth St.

• Tonca the turtle is turning 40 and the Museum of Science & History celebrates on Saturday. From 10 a.m.-2 p.m., guests can make him a birthday card and eat cake. A reptile exhibition will be on display, too.

• A lot of Downtown restaurants are taking it easy this July, so you might want to call before you head over. Some, like Zodiac Grill, are opting for reduced hours, while others are going on vacation. La Cena is closed until July 19.
