The truckloads of drywall going into the top-floor window on East Bay Street last week (left) were for the new offices of Looney Ricks Kiss, a Memphis-based architecture and interior design firm. LRK has leased the top three floors above Mark’s in order to consolidate its Jacksonville operation that currently employs 25 people with plans to expand to 45.
The firm’s portfolio includes AutoZone’s corporate headquarters, the FedEx World Technology Center and the FedEx Forum, the 18,400-seat arena that is home to the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies. LRK also converted an eight-story building in Memphis listed on the National Register of Historic Places into 200,000 square feet of Class-A office space.
Local projects include The Villas of St. Johns in Riverside and RiverTown Center.
