Success Suits You
Success Suits You is a not-for-profit organization that helps low-income women make tailored transitions into the workforce. Each Success Suits You client receives one suit when she has a job interview and a second suit when she gets the job. The Success Suits You volunteers provide support to help the client build a successful career.
Women are referred to Success Suits You by a continually expanding array of not-for-profit and government agencies including homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, immigration services and job training programs. They have provided suits and career counseling to over 2100 Jacksonville women since 2000. They are an all volunteer agency located in downtown Jacksonville, in space donated by WorkSource, the regional workforce development agency. The funds collected go to purchase foundation garments and large size suits for women whose sizes do not match their inventory donations.
Donations that cannot be used are given to other agencies, such as homeless shelters, churches, and community ministries.
