The Coffee Man, armed with his Rocket Pack — which holds more than six pots of coffee — is making his way around town to promote McDonald’s new brand of coffee. Bill Kral, fearless cadet of coffee, was in San Marco Wednesday where he served Karen Case a fresh cup. The McDonald’s coffee campaign debuted late last month. Over the next three weeks, Kral will be at random locations all over town with his Rocket Pack giving out samples of the bold new brew. McDonald’s serves more than 500 million cups of coffee each year. The new coffee is a little cheaper at the Golden Arches, compared to Starkbucks and Dunkin’ Doughnuts, which is good for the daily coffee drinkers in the U.S. An annual trend report from the National Coffee Association revealed that daily coffee consumption is on the rise. It was 49 percent in 2004 and 53 percent in 2005.
