Over 80 famous faces served up their favorite recipes Thursday at the Osborn Center. The 20th Celebrity Chefs Tasting Luncheon and Silent Auction gave guests the opportunity to nibble and mingle with local notables like Jacksonville Suns Baseball Club president Peter “Pedro” Bragan Jr., and Maria Cole, the wife of Nat “King” Cole.

The luncheon’s proceeds went to the Salvation Army, whose Jacksonville Women’s Auxiliary organized the annual event. The silent auction included a variety of items, from designer dolls to a private, guided tour of Rome. The 18 menu items were chosen from the previous years’ best recipes. They ranged from Delores Barr Weaver’s salmon and rice casserole to Carol J. Alexander’s “Mommo’s sweet potato pudding.”
