It was a night to remember for DHI Mortgage’s Kathleen Hudson. Distinguished as a 2005 Million Dollar Circle Award winner at the Northeast Florida Builder Association’s 12th Annual Laurel Awards, Hudson received industry accolade in the “Production Over $10 Million” sales category. Her total volume for 2005 was more than $35 million, and she received the Laurel Award for Top Producer of the Year Employed by a Builder Lender.
“Receiving the Laurel Award has been a tremendous honor,” said Hudson, branch sales manager for DHI Mortgage. “Being acknowledged for a strong work ethic and commitment to customer service is always an incredible compliment. Hudson brings more than five years of experience in the mortgage industry to her position with DHI Mortgage, a subsidiary of D.R. Horton. Her dedication and extensive knowledge as a mortgage loan originator made her perfect as a candidate for recent promotion to branch sales manager for the company’s Jacksonville division — yet another of Hudson’s impressive achievements.

As branch sales manager, Hudson manages a sales staff of 11 loan officers. She is responsible for coaching staff members during regularly scheduled training sessions; imparting comprehensive product knowledge; developing cohesive relationships within the Realtor community and with site agents; openly recruiting new talent; production management and generating new business.
“I started with DHI as a loan officer, and I’ve steadily worked my way up the ranks of the company,” said Hudson. “Management was a next logical step for me, and I am having a fantastic time. I really enjoy a fast-paced environment, as well as a builder environment. One of my favorite aspects of my job is that many of our homebuyers are making this important purchase for the very first time. It’s so exciting to be a part of helping customers achieve their dreams of homeownership. It’s extremely rewarding.”
Prior to joining DHI Mortgage approximately three years ago, Hudson worked as a loan processor for Bank of America. She is an affiliate member of the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors and an affiliate member of the Northeast Florida Builders Association, as well as its Sales and Marketing Council.
A California native, Hudson became a St. Augustine transplant as a teen. She attended Florida State University, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from University of Sarasota.
In her spare time, Hudson enjoys interior decorating and is an avid personal fitness enthusiast and “soccer mom.” She and her husband, Brad, enjoy spending quality family time with their two children, Lauren and Chase. Hudson also is an active member of Pinewood Presbyterian Church in Middleburg.
