This month’s Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association luncheon featured speed networking.

After lunch, President Patti Dodson had members mingle with a person near them for three minutes, then whistled to mark the switch to a new person. The speed networking is one of several efforts to get the female attorneys to know one another better.

Dodson also announced a new spotlight series, which introduces two lesser-known members at each luncheon, and a referral list for the JWLA Web site, www.jwla.org .

The referral list is designed to help members direct cases and questions to another female attorney in a specific practice area. Dodson said the JWLA also wants to get sponsor advertisements on its Web site to fund expanded activities and events.

Members were also treated to a brief presentation and “Sweet Justice” candy bars from Michelle Lyons of the Florida Bar Foundation.
