After nine-and-a-half years at City Hall including five years as the Duval County Legislative Delegation Office coordinator, Darla Wilson’s colleagues and friends honored her with a going-away party Friday at the Main Library. Wilson has accepted a position with State Sen. Jim King’s office and will begin the next phase of her career in December.
“My new office will be near Regency Square,” said Wilson. “I’m going to miss all the wonderful people at City Hall.” While she’s not sure exactly what her new job will entail, she did say, “I’m just going to do whatever they tell me. I’ve been doing this long enough to know that it will change from time to time.”
