I.M. Sulzbacher Center’s President and CEO Sherry Burns presented Lutheran Social Services President and CEO Wayne Reiley with nine bowls Wednesday that were hand-painted by children from the center’s new children’s building. The bowls, in addition to 2,000 others, will be used at this year’s annual Empty Bowls Luncheon Nov. 14 at the Prime Osborn Convention Center. The luncheon focuses attention on feeding members of the community who are homeless and proceeds from it will benefit 380 area nonprofit agencies. The Sulzbacher Center receives most of the food it needs to serve its customers from the Lutheran Social Services Second Harvest Food Bank.
