DID YOU KNOW?81 percent of buyers who use the Internet to search for a home purchase through a real estate agent, while 63 percent of non-Internet users buy through an agent; non-Internet users are more likely to purchase directly from a builder or an owner they knew in advance of the transaction. (From the 2005 National Association of Realtors Profile of Home Buyers & Sellers)

It was a full house as members of the Northeast Florida Builder’s Association’s Sales and Marketing and the public gathered at the Sawgrass Marriott for an evening meeting to be entertained by the Capital Steps, a musical political satirist group.

The Capitol Steps began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them. Twenty-five years later, they are still going.

The performers made fun of everyone from President George W. Bush, columnist Ann Coulter, former President Bill Clinton, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfield. They also parodied such events as the war in Iraq, rising gas prices and Sen. Clinton’s run for the presidency.
