The Florida Coastal School of Law Center for Law and public policy hosted its first Fall Issues 2006 Forum Wednesday. As part of the forum, Florida Supreme Court Justice Barbara Pariente and her husband, Appellate Judge Fred Hazouri, presented “Perspectives from the Bench and Law Practice.” Among the topics they discussed were merit retention, pro bono commitments, ethics and professionalism, and reflections on the law and life together as spouses, lawyers and judges.

Pariente is a former Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court.

Oct. 5, an Issues 2006 Forum and luncheon at the school will feature former United States Attorney General and Counselor to Pres. Ronald Reagan, Edwin Meese III. The time and location will be announced soon.
