Sgt. Jim Suber, third from left, was recognized at an on-field ceremony during Monday night’s Jaguars game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Suber’s son Jamie (left), daughter Angie, wife Kathy and Bill Prescott, senior vice president of stadium operations and CFO for the Jags, were on hand for the first-half ceremony. Suber has been with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office for 32 years and he was instrumental in setting up the traffic plan during the Super Bowl. “He has a great mind for traffic,” said Community Affairs and Special Events Chief David Stevens. “Not only are we losing a great resource and a tremendous supervisor, but we’re also losing a friend.” Suber’s official retirement party is next Friday at the Fraternal Order of Police lodge.
