Over 40 Vanguard GMAC Realty agents and friends pitched in a helping hand recently at the first “Vanguard Day Event” at the local domestic violence shelter, The Quigley House, in Clay County.

Agents rolled up their sleeves and landscaped both the front and back yards of the Quigley House. They painted and hung artwork in the Career Room, re-painted and re-shelved the Laundry Room, and placed new carpet in the front Counseling Room.

In addition, the agents also donated 100 build-a-bears to the shelter.

“It was an incredible experience seeing what 40 Vanguard agents and staff performed in five hours. The Quigley House looks great!” said Pete Dalton, broker and owner of Vanguard GMAC.

The second “Vanguard Day Event” will be April 24 at Jacksonville’s Hubbard House. At this event, agents will supply labor and carpeting as well as paint and other items needed for the “Daycare Room Restoration Project.” Five daycare rooms will be renovated.
