The number 13 is seemingly bringing good fortune to the owners of Digital Video Arts (DVA). As the Jacksonville production company enters its 13th year in business, they have broken ground on a new 15,000 square foot facility which is double the size of their current Southpoint office. The design and construction of the $3.8 million project are being handled by The Haskell Company.

The new production facility will include larger offices, two 5.1 surround audio suites for mix-to-picture and music scoring, five high-definition video editing suites, a 1,200 square foot soundstage, a full prep kitchen, an all-inclusive dining area, a green room and a high definition, theater-style screening room.

These additions will allow DVA to bring several services in house where they once had to use outside facilities. The prep kitchen will be used for on-site preparation for food ads and the soundstage will allow for certain projects to be shot on site and for live interviews to be conducted and transmitted to other markets, while the green room can serve as a staging area for wardrobe and makeup. The 25-person-capacity screening room will be a comfortable place for client viewings, also a step up from the current facility.

According to DVA President Tony Haines, the new facility, which is scheduled for completion in early March, puts DVA into a new category in the production industry.

“We are crafting an environment where creative people can thrive and where good projects become great,” he said. “We are proud of the work that our team produces, and this will be a place we are proud to call home.”

The new facility will be located at 7775 Belfort Parkway. DVA currently has 18 employees and develops award-winning productions for clients including Winn Dixie, the Jacksonville Jaguars, Lane Furniture, Venus Swimwear and BlueCross BlueShield of Florida.
