• The Jacksonville Aviation Authority has approved the selection of Irvine, Calif.-based Ware Malcomb to provide comprehensive planning services for more than 8,000 acres of Cecil Field and Cecil Commerce Center. In addition to creating an overall development plan for property owned by JAA and the City, the firm will address existing and future transportation, utility and environmental issues as well as develop marketing and financial plans. Ware Malcomb will partner with local firms including Rink Design partnership, Prosser Hallock, King Engineering, ESI, AVCON, Urbonomics, Richard Shieldhouse and Venture Partners. The final development plan is due by Dec. 31.
• The General Services Administration (GSA) has selected TTV Architects to provide architectural and engineering services for the construction and renovation of GSA-owned and leased facilities for projects in the Southeast Sunbelt Region which includes Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina. The GSA is an independent agency of the U. S. government and contributes to the management of $500 billion in federal property.
• Floridian Lifestyles Realty announced the launch of the Berkman Plaza II’s Web site. The Web address is www.berkmanplaza.com. The Web site offers a variety of information about the new high-rise as well as a virtual tour that includes a project slide show, additional location images and panoramic views of the St. Johns River, floor plan information, a mortgage calculator, local school information and an online request form.
