UNF freshmen given nearly impossible task

Kevin Galke, Jenni Brown, Kristen Mikeska, Kirsten Reinsch, Nina Handzo, Molly Cranston and Courtney Murrot were part of a group of 140 University of North Florida Honors Program freshmen who were on a scavenger hunt Downtown Thursday. Galke said the day of detective work was designed to make the students more familiar with Jacksonville and to build teamwork among the participants. In addition to questions like “what year did the Great Fire occur?” one of the items on the hunters’ checklist was to find out when the new County Courthouse is slated to open.
