In spite of the tragic accident a couple of weeks ago, the sales staff at Berkman Plaza 2 recently made good on a pledge to collect teddy bears for the local chapter of the Red Cross.

Floridian Lifestyles Realty, the selling agent of Berkman Plaza 2, hosted a Holiday Open House for friends, buyers and realtors last Thursday during which they collected close to 100 bears. The Red Cross provides bears to children who have been affected by serious illness or who have gone through a significant trauma, such as a fire or natural disaster.

“It seemed important to carry through with our plans,” said Nancy Maloy (third from left), president of Floridian Lifestyles Realty. “It’s difficult enough for adults to deal with the unexpected; we wanted to do all we could to help the Red Cross provide comfort to children who experience tragedy.”

Also shown is the rest of the Berkman Plaza sales staff: Danon Winter, Barbara Hubbell, Joeann Bennett and Suzanne Cash.
