The Northeast Florida Association of Realtors installed the 2007 officers and board of directors in January. The theme was Rediscover the American Dream and several incoming officers were dressed in Colonial garb. There was a fife and drum band and more than 250 members of NEFAR in attendance.

President Hank Oltmanns laid out some of his plans for the year. He said at the beginning of this century, there were 3,147 members of NEFAR. Six years later, there are 7,268 members.

“What a great group and what a great responsibility,” he said, acknowledging CEO Glenn East and the team working with him as a catalyst for the strength within the organization.

Among several other items of concentration like Affordable Workforce Housing, Realtors Ramp It Up, member education and an increase Web presence, Oltmanns said a focus of his tenor will be increased attendance at special events and increased membership.

Outgoing President Kay Seitzinger said the benefits to being a member of the association are vast

“Join us — you’ll grow — and the experiences you have will be with you for a lifetime,” she said.
