Several of Douglas Anderson School of the Arts best and most talented will participate in the school’s “Extravaganza” Friday at the Moran Theater. The annual performing arts showcase features dance, theater, vocals, instrumental music, film and creative writing. “Extravaganza is the best we have to offer,” said principal Jackie Cornelius. “This is the one time of the year when all of our talented student artists come together to put on a performance that rivals what you find on Broadway. Many of these kids will go on to Broadway and Hollywood and dance companies around the world. This is Jacksonville’s chance to see them perform before they launch their careers.” The visual arts gallery show and silent art auction starts at 6:30 p.m. in the theater lobby, while the Extravaganza starts at 7:30.
