The BB&T Downtown Financial Center held a “Community Celebration Luncheon” Thursday on the bank’s back patio. The event was held in an effort to recognize the center’s Downtown neighbors, according to Financial Center manager Patty Page. “This was just an opportunity to show our appreciation,” she said. “We want to let people know who we are.” The BB&T staff was on hand to greet guests and provide them with information about the center’s services. Attendees were presented with gift bags and also had the opportunity to register to win a 6-month membership to Gold’s Gym or a $500 Visa gift card. The bank moved into the 200 W. Forsyth building last September.
