New year, sign for art museum

A sign with the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville’s new name was installed over the front entrance Tuesday afternoon. Troy Spurlin, director of special events and marketing, said the sign company used as many letters as possible from the old Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art sign to keep the budget for the new display at $7,000. Spurlin added that the new MOCA-Jacksonville logo and Web site will be unveiled at a ceremony next week.
