Jacksonville’s Solomon L. “Chuck” Badger III received The Florida Bar President’s Award of Merit during the Bar’s annual convention in Orlando last week.
Bestowed by 2006-07 Bar President Hank Coxe, the award recognized Badger’s time and dedication to The Florida Bar, its leadership, its members and their clients, and the general public. Badger, a retired educator, served as a volunteer non-lawyer member of the Bar’s Board of Governors from 2002-07.
Coxe cited Badger’s judgment, wisdom, honesty, humor and humility in the award presentation as well his “commitment to the inclusion of all people.” Coxe said Badger’s many contributions and extraordinary integrity were deserving of the highest praise and most sincere gratitude of the entire legal profession.
