Florida State University law student Mary Francis Will (center) is the winner of the 2007 James F. Bailey Jr. Scholarship. Will, who is spending the summer as a clerk at Foley & Lardner, was announced the winner during Thursday’s annual meeting of the Young Lawyers Section of the Jacksonville Bar Association. She was presented the $1,500 check by YLS President Kevin Cook (right) and immediate-past YLS President Geddes Anderson. Will said she’ll use the money to buy books and supplies. “I want to thank Jim Bailey and the scholarship committee,” she said. “I am very grateful.” Cook said the committee received 20 applications, narrowed the list to four before sending two names to Bailey for the final decision.
