The City’s Equal Business Opportunity Office hosted 35 vendors at City Hall as part of the City’s Small and Emerging Business Extravaganza. Two of the vendors that participated were Avondale Badge Company and Gourmet Punch. Christine Lyons (right), the sales representative for two-person Avondale Badge, said the event was a good opportunity to meet similar vendors and representatives from the City. Gourmet Punch President/CEO Dr. Charlotte Powell brought several of her company’s 30 different punch flavors. Powell, who admits there’s nothing healthy about her punch, was a vendor during the Super Bowl. “They (fans) used my punch to add to their liquor,” said Powell, whose company also rents party accessories, chocolate and champagne fountains and more.
