The excavation for the new under-the-floor plumbing at Nicky G’s Brick Oven Pizza on East Bay Street is almost complete. Co-owner Nick Delcazo (pictured) said it’s been quite a “dig” and has uncovered some previously undiscovered Downtown artifacts. Mostly old bricks and tree roots, he said, in addition to a very old hand-blown glass bottle. Delcazo added the construction project is on schedule and he expects to start pulling authentic New York-style pizza out of the oven by the middle of next month.
