If you were curious as to why about 40 Jacksonville police patrol cars were parading around Downtown yesterday with their lights flashing and sirens blaring, JSO officers were in field training.
This isn’t anything new for the JSO officers. An officer said they have field training once a month.
The officers held their training at the Landing, in the parking lots of Jacksonville Municipal Stadium and at a location in the Northside.
The officer said some of the things they train for are riots. “We always have to be ready.”
