Members of the Northeast Florida Builders Association Clay Builders Council were on hand to help with the annual food giveaway program at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Green Cove Springs just before Christmas.
More than 125 boxes of food were distributed to families in Clay County. Carol Hayde of Southern Enclosures and CBC Co-Associate of the Year led the service project for the builders.
The council purchased the food from Winn-Dixie and then spent Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning assembling the baskets.
“It’s good to see the builders take part in such worthwhile projects,” said Matt Carlton, president of Carlton Construction & Development. “We are always happy to participate in such worthwhile causes, especially those that reach out to the community.”
