Palencia has new builder
Gordon’s Castle, LLC is a new Jacksonville-based custom luxury home builders which will be building in Palencia.
Gordon’s Castle combines the experience of Robert “Bob” J. Brite, who has more than 20 years hands-on experience in the Northeast Florida market, with Leigh A. Weaver’s design ability and James M. Sutton’s business experience as a New York City advertising executive and senior editor on World News Tonight.
As director of design and marketing, Weaver Touchdown, the Jaguar sculpture at Alltel Stadium, as well as The Jaguar Foundation’s Love the Children logo.
Brite’s background includes 25 years as an entrepreneur, 11 years as president of Bob Brite Homes, three years as construction manager for residential construction in Fernandina Beach and four years as vice president of construction and qualifying agent for a local home builder.
Stonecraft has WGV models
Stonecraft Fine Homes has two presale homes and three inventory homes underway in The Estates of World Golf Village. Last year, the Ohio-based builder purchased homesites in the community’s Clubview Estates, Waterbury by the Links, Oakgrove Estates and Windmill Estates neighborhoods.
The inventory homes are in the Waterbury by the Links and Clubview Estates neighborhoods behind the gates of the King & Bear and are priced from the $800s to more than $1 million.
The two-story Cypress model has 4,715 square feet and the two-story Valencia model more than 4,900 square feet.
With more than 4,800 square feet, the Madeira model has four bedrooms and four and one-half baths.
Burr has motorcycle benefit
The Monique Burr Foundation for Children will benefit from the inaugural Hugs Not Hits Ride presented by Adamec Harley-Davidson on Saturday, March 31. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Foundation and its mission to prevent child abuse in Northeast Florida.
The motorcycle ride will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the new Adamec dealership at 8909 Baymeadows Road and will conclude with a party on the river at LandMar’s Shipyards site at 950 East Bay Street in downtown Jacksonville. Entertainment at Shipyards will be provided by South Bound and guests will enjoy catered food donated by Woody’s Bar-B-Q and Pepsi.
Check-in for the ride begins at 8 a.m. Space is limited to 750 riders. Tickets are $30 for general riders and $20 for passengers. VIP tickets are available for $250.
Mercedes shows Paloma models
Mercedes Homes’ Craftsman-inspired townhome community, Paloma, is home to four new decorated model homes with prices beginning in the $120,000s. Now open daily for homebuyers to tour, Paloma’s second phase features new designs.
The first new model is the Cedar Cay, a two-bedroom townhome that has 1,054-square feet. The Sherwood Cay is a 1,154-square foot home and there also are a series of three-bedroom townhomes.

Watson has new model
Watson Custom Home Builders recently completed their Stirling model in Durbin Crossing North.
The Stirling is a 3,056-square-foot home that features four bedrooms with a loft and two-and-one-half-baths. All bedrooms are located on the second floor.
Homes within this community are priced from the $200’s and Watson Custom Home Builders is offering a variety of designs with 16 floorplans ranging from 1,660 to 3,056-square-feet of living space.
