Former NBA player and Jacksonville native Otis Smith spoke to a room full of children belonging to TEAM OTIS Thursday at the Omni Hotel. The children, from three local schools, recently completed an after-school FCAT tutoring program run by the Otis Smith Kids Foundation.
Smith told the children to concentrate on their goals.
“Write them down,” said Smith. “Write them down or cut a picture out and place it on a bathroom mirror so that every morning when you wash your face, you see what it is you want to become.”
