• FedEx Kinkos will open a brand new Jacksonville store April 2 in the Tinseltown area. The ceremony is set for 11 a.m. They also expect to open two more stores within the next month — on the San Pablo area the other on Philips Highway.
• JSO may soon be patrolling Glen Kernan Golf & Country Club. If legislation is approved, JSO would have traffic control jurisdiction over the access roads located within the Glen Kernan Community development boundaries. The Glen Kernan Homeowners’ Association would pay any costs that exceed the ordinary level of traffic control.
• Going fishing? The AT&T Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament will have a booth at the 12th Annual Florida Sportsman Fishing and Boat Show this weekend at the Prime Osborn Convention Center. Anglers can save $80 on the General Tournament registration fee by visiting the tournament’s representatives at the show. • Carol Henderson, a professor at Stetson University College of Law and director of its National Clearinghouse for Science, Technology and the Law, has been named president-elect of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences.
